How To Get Your Web Site Updated Or Your Pages Changed

January 10, 2009 by D. A. Shaver

To Make Small Changes To Pages

Just be sure type out the exact text you want and give instructions about where you want it.

Send the URL (web page address) of the page in an email and the text you want changed and what you want it changed to and where at on the page it is.

Small changes usually take less than 15 minutes. If it takes less than 7 minutes it is free. Hourly labor is billable in 15 minutes increments.

To Add Pages To Your Web Site

Put the text for your new page in an email and send it saying that you want it to be a new page. If you want it have a specific name or location on a menu you can say that also.

To Add Pictures To Your Web Site

Send an email with the photo attached and say what page you want it on. All pictures should be fresh from your camera and not have been adjusted in any graphic arts or other software.

I will do typing but it will be cheaper to get it done elsewhere as it is the same hourly rate. So send the text in MS Word (doc), text file (txt) or in the body on email. Words in pictures and PDF documents will have to be typed. If you scan a printed document it is a picture. Scanned documents cannot be put on the Internet. Google Docs, Notepad and WordPad produce text documents. If it is text you can select it with your cursor.
