- The title is the most important part of the article and should accurately describe what the article is about. Titles full of hype, unrelated to article content, written just to get attention, will only loose readers over time.
- Start with the most important part or main point and progress into the details. This is the inverted format used by newspapers.
- Use short paragraphs with bold headings and bulleted lists. Avoid long unbroken areas of text. Large areas of unbroken text are hard to read on a monitor and web site visitors are often too much in a hurry to read them.
- The first sentence of each paragraph should be what that paragraph is about and the last sentence should be a summary of that paragraph.
- Write about what you know and know what you are writing about. Have something to say and be able to say it with authority.

I love your advise number two, I believe it's imperative you focus on this one and build quality and valuable content from there. :)

Writing a good title is an art in itself ;) Most people manage to follow the 'formats' given by popular bloggers but they fail to follow this up with good content.
I would say first 2-3 lines are the defining lines of an article and will be responsible for readers choosing to proceed further or ignoring the article. Inserting a related image within an article often makes things come together nicely.

So true and don’t you hate it when you read and article and it isn’t as good as the title.
